Furthermore, he will provide tips and insights on how to heal ourselves from these mindsets so that the ethical canons become guide posts and not obstacles in our drive to become successful lawyers.

In this unique legal ethics webinar, humorist Sean Carter will go beyond the simple "dos" and "don'ts" of rules and get to the root of the matter -- the mindsets that cause lawyers to commit ethics violations in the first place. In doing so, he will cover the Seven Deadly Sins of legal ethics:

1. Lust (conflicts of interest -- Rules 1.7-1.9)
2. Gluttony (over-commitment -- Rule 1.3)
3. Greed (trust account violations -- Rules 1.5 & 1.15)
4. Sloth (lack of diligence -- Rules 1.1 & 1.3)
5. Wrath (incivility -- Rules 3.4, 3.5, 4.4 & 8.4)
6. Envy (incompetence -- Rule 1.1)
7. Pride (breaches of confidentiality, failure to communicate -- Rules 1.4 & 1.6)
